Prowl: Easy Push Notifications 1.5.3

Prowl is a user-friendly iOS client for push notifications. It allows users to receive notifications on their iOS devices from their Mac or Windows computers or from various apps and services. The Prowl API can also be easily integrated into applications.

Supported apps and services can be found on the Prowl website.

The possibilities of what the service can do are only limited by your imagination.

REQUIREMENTS

To receive notifications from your computer, you need the latest version of:

• Growl on Mac (available at growl.info)
• Growl for Windows (available at growlforwindows.com)
• Snarl on Windows (available at fullphat.net)
• Any program or web service that uses the public API.

FEATURES

• Push Notifications: When a Growl notification appears on your computer, it is sent to Prowl and displayed on your iOS device almost instantly.
• Sweet application support: Prowl is compatible with a variety of popular applications and services. You can find the full list on the Prowl website.
• Redirections: You can launch a different application when you open a push notification. For example, a notification from your desktop Twitter client can automatically open your preferred mobile client. You can even customize URLs to launch specific destinations.
• Email to push: Use your personalized Prowl email address, which you can find on the "API keys" tab of the Prowl homepage, to receive email notifications directly on your device. You can generate multiple email addresses as needed.
• An amazing API: The Prowl API can be used with various programming languages and libraries. You can send notifications from any internet-connected source and experiment with interesting functionalities.
• Quiet Hours: During specified hours, only badge numbers are updated, preventing noisy alerts. However, emergency-priority items can still break through during these quiet periods.
• Do Not Disturb: If you're busy or need a break from constant alerts, you can keep the application quiet. This feature can be controlled directly within the app.
• Control: Open the edit view to have a quick overview of your notifications and easily dismiss unwanted ones. You can quickly copy, email, or send an SMS directly from Prowl (availability depends on device and iOS version).
• Browse quickly: Prowl's internal browser allows you to open links from notifications without needing to open Safari.
• History: The server keeps up to 10 days of notification history. You can delete individual notifications or clear your entire history.
• Customized notifications: Only events you specify are sent to Prowl. You can set various conditions using the Prowl plugin for Growl.
• Send any message to your device: From the Prowl website, you can send text messages to your device. Links and phone numbers are automatically linked, making navigation easy. You can also automatically redirect to attached URLs using the website or API.
